Halloween Art Projects for Elementary Students - Drawing
Symmetry drawing is a great sub plan and a nice way to teach both math and art. Students can learn about realistic drawing and practice drawing skills by using grid squares to help them count and measure to draw the symmetrical half.
Symmetry drawing can become a daily sketchbook practice to help students refine and practice drawing skills.
I like to make this into a contest for students. They can complete a chosen symmetry drawing page and then vote for their favourite. I give prizes like a Halloween pencil or eraser to the winner.

Halloween Art Projects for Elementary Students - Colouring
Colouring is a great activity for students who have finished their work early or if you are having a Halloween party in class. Students can colour with markers, crayons or pencil crayons! You could even hold a colouring contest!
